When you hear the crowing of rooster: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When you hear the crowing of roosters, ask for Allah’s Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan” (Reference: Bukhari)
Do not revile the rooster: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, Do not revile the rooster for it wakes you up for prayer (Reference: Abu Dawud)
And Supplicate upon hearing the rooster: The Prophet said: “when you hear the crowing of the roosters, then ask Allah of His bounty, for verily they have seen an angel. When you hear the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan, [the rejected] for, verily, it has seen a Shaitan.” (Reference: Tirmidhi)
