Astghfaar means asking Allaah for forgiveness of your sins. Shukr means giving thanks to Allaah for what you have.
Ask Allaah for Forgiveness and He will help you with Amwal and Sons
In Quran Allaah says: And say you ask your Lord for forgiveness He is the One who forgives. He will send upon you rain in abundance. And He will help you with Amwal and sons. And He will will for you gardens and He will will for you rivers. Al-Quran 71:10-12
And in another place. Allaah says: And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent unto Him. He will send upon you rain from the sky in showers and increase you in strength to your strength. And do not turn away being criminals. Al-Quran 11:52
We seek refuge in Allaah from turning away from Him. We seek in refuge in Allaah from not asking His forgiveness. For He is the final refuge. There is no refuge than His.
This shows if you ask Allaah for Forgiveness. He will increase your Amwal.
(short title: Astaghfaar to Allaah will increase your Amwal)
Give Gratitude to Allaah and He will increase your Amwal
And your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.'” Al-Quran 14:7
We ask Allaah to spare us from His punishment This shows if you are Grateful to Allaah. He will increase your Amwal.

And these 2 Things are the Basis for Increase in Amwal
And may peace and blessings of Allah be upon our prophet Muhammad. his family. his companions. and those who follow them with completeness until the day of judgement.
And He is the First. And He is Al-Aakhir. And He is the Al-Zahir. And He is Al-Batin. And He is the One who knows all things. Al-Quran 57:3 And we believe in Allaah and His messengers.
And this concludes the first chapter of the book Amwal. And a few things must be said here before we move on.
All the good things in this book are from my Lord Allaah. And all the mistakes in this book are mine: I seek refuge in Him from all sharr. I seek His forgiveness. I give gratitude to Him. All that is on this earth except Quran and Sunnah will perish into dust.
(short title: the sahabah used to recite this when satan would whisper to them)
Everything in this World is Cursed except Remembrance of Allaah:
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:”Lo! Indeed the world is cursed. What is in it is cursed, except for remembrance of Allah, what is conducive to that, the knowledgeable person and the learning person.” Tirmidhi 2322
(short title: everything in this world is cursed except remembrance of Allaahm but this should not prevent you from getting amwal because the prophet said how good is lawful wealth for a rightetous man and envy is permitted only in 2 cases and one of which is a man who Allaah has given wealth and he spends it in his path)
Some Knowledge is Useful While Some is Useless:
The Prophet made dua. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the knowledge which is not beneficial. A heart which does not fear You. From a desire which is not satisfied. And from prayer which is not answered. Riyad as Saliheen
It was narrated from Jabir that :the Messenger of Allah said: “Ask Allah for beneficial knowledge and seek refuge with Allah from knowledge that is of no benefit.” Ibn Majah 3843

How Good Lawful Wealth is for A Righteous Man:
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “How good lawful wealth is for a righteous man.” Narrated by Ahmad (17096)

Envy is Permitted only in 2 Cases:
Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Envy is permitted only in two cases: A man whom Allah gives wealth, and he disposes of it rightfully, and a man to whom Allah gives knowledge which he applies and teaches it.” Riyad-as-Saliheen
